Reaching your ideal draw weight is an essential component of archery practice. It can get you a competitive edge or make a huge difference in your shot as you head out for hunting season. But it doesn’t happen overnight. This type of conditioning takes time as you perform repetitive archery exercises to increase draw weight and strengthen your entire body for  high-performance action.

What is Draw Weight?

Draw weight refers to the measurement of force it takes to draw a bow. Certain bows maintain their draw weight, while others have a draw weight dependent upon the pull.
