Pre-Stretched and Ready to Ship
While we do offer compound bow strings that are custom-built to your exact specifications, some of our customers don’t require full customization services. That said, these strings and cables are still outstanding upgrades. Your Bear compound bow string will be individually built from premium bow string materials and go through our proprietary 5-stage stretching process. We offer your choice of five color combinations. FAQs
How often should I change my Bear compound bow string and cable?
Replacement timeframes can vary widely depending on the frequency of use, where and how you shoot, and your approach to storage and maintenance. That said, we generally recommend replacing your string and cables yearly for target bows, once every two years for hunting bows, or every few months for active hunters.

Can I change my own Bear bow string, or do I need a professional?
If you have a bow press and the proper archery tools, you may be able to install your own string and cables. However, unless you’re 100% confident in your abilities, we recommend bringing your bow to a local shop.
What are signs that I need to change my Bear compound bow string?
Performance loss is a sure sign that it’s time for new Bear Archery bow strings. Pay attention to your bow, and replace your string if you notice that it’s lacking in speed and/or accuracy. You may also want to replace your string if you notice creep, peep rotation, or serving separation. Other visible signs of worn strings include broken or stretched strands and heavy fuzzing.

What size bow string do I need for my Bear Archery compound bow?
First, check the limb sticker or the user manual. Either one should tell you the correct size for your Bear compound bow string. If there’s no sticker and you don’t have the user manual handy, you should be able to look up your Bear model’s specs online. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re still not able to find the correct size for Bear bow strings.
