These Bitzenburger replacement clamps are available in three different models: Bitzenburger left clamps for true left helical fletching, Bitzenburger right clamps for true right helical fletching, and Bitzenburger straight clamps for offset, as well as straight fletching.
Product Features
- Each clamp is precision-ground to assure identical blade matching.
- Right and left helical clamps are ground with a radius to achieve a true helical fletch.
- Hollow recess allows for thumb and fingertip control, preventing slippage in the hand.
- Graduated scale at the rear of the base of the clamp to allow for consistent spacing of feathers and vanes accurately from the nock.
- Knife edge on the base of the clamps eliminates the build-up of surplus glue.
Switch Your Fletching Style on the Fly
Bitzenburger clamps let you easily switch between straight/offset, left helical, and right helical fletching. For example, you may want to use left or right helical for hunting and straight/offset for target shooting or competitions.

FAQs
How to set a helical on Bitzenburger?
The Bitzenburger left helical clamp or Bitzenburger right helical clamp itself is designed with a curve that creates the helical twist. So, simply install the left or right clamp and the helical will set itself. With the helical clamp in place, you can then make fine-tuning adjustments as usual using the fletching jig’s knobs.
Does left or right helical matter?
Helical direction is a matter of personal preference, but most archers prefer to match the fletching with the arrow’s natural rotation direction. For example, if the arrow naturally rotates left, a left helical is ideal. This is most important for single-bevel broadheads that are designed to rotate during flight.
Is helical or offset better for arrow fletching?
We recommend owning both Bitzenburger clamps so you can determine which style best fits your shooting style (or switch between them).
Helical fletchings are often preferred over offset because they let the arrow rotate faster, which can improve stability, speed, and accuracy. Some archers prefer offset fletching because it’s less aggressive and more forgiving.
What is a Bitzenburger fletching jig?
A Bitzenburger fletching jig is a metal tool used for fletching, which is the process of attaching vanes or feathers to the arrow’s shaft.
Bitzenburger clamps allow you to adjust the Bitzenburger jig’s fletching style. In other words, using a Bitzenburger left helical clamp or right helical clamp makes the jig facilitate left or right helical fletching. The Bitzenburger fletching jig with the straight clamp facilitates straight or slight offset fletching.
