Dink finds God and his family most important. He loves introducing kids to archery. His passion is bow hunting and anything outdoors. He was blessed to have a father who introduced him to the outdoors at a young age and it grew from there.

How did you get involved in archery?

I was blessed to have a family that loved hunting and enjoying the outdoors. I was introduced to archery as a young child shooting with my dad, cousins and uncles.

How long have you been shooting?

25 years.

What do you like to do when you're not shooting?

Spending time with my family and helping kids at my local archery shop.

Indoor or outdoor archery?

Both.

3D or target?

I shoot majority 3D and occasional target.

What is your favorite 3D target?

That's a tough one. I would have to say the aoudad.

What is your least favorite 3D target?

Definitely the new wolverine target.

Who is your favorite competitor?

Levi Morgan.

What is your funniest travel story?

Listening to my dad tell his hunting mishaps on the way home from our hunting trips. That man had the worst luck when it came to hunting. He forgot to load his gun, forgot his release, lost his glasses. It was always something.

What is your favorite place to eat while traveling?

Definitely Buc-ee's.

What is your favorite archery moment of all time?

Seeing the smile on a kid's face when he makes a great shot; it just boosts their confidence so much. They are the next generation to keep this sport going.

What is your favorite sport other than archery?

Baseball.

What is your favorite sports team?

LSU Tigers.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

Winning Louisiana State Champion 10 years in a row.

Who was your childhood hero?

Greg Maddux.

What is your proudest moment?

When my daughters were born.

What is your favorite kind of music?

Country.

What are your words to live by?

Never take anything for granted. In the blink of an eye it can be gone. When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you or you can let it strengthen you.

What is the coolest thing about competing in archery tournaments?

Meeting people from all over the world.

What is your favorite tournament venue?

ASA.

What is your advice for someone just getting started in archery?

Just have fun and remember every professional was once a beginner.
