FAQ
How often does a bow need to be restrung?
We recommend that frequent shooters replace their bow string and cables every two years, if not sooner. It’s also important to replace your bow string if you notice signs of excessive wear. Regularly perform a bow string inspection and look for broken, frayed, or stretched strands. Heavy fraying means you need a new bow string, but light fuzzing is normal.

Can you restring a bow yourself?
After purchasing a bow string for sale at 60X, the next step is to install it yourself or bring it to a pro shop. For a DIY installation, secure the bow in a bow press, compress the limbs, remove the old string, and install the new string. If you don’t have a bow press, or if you’re not confident in your ability to perform this task, we recommend a professional installation.
