FAQs:
Where do I find the length of my bow string?
To find your factory string length, take a look at the limb sticker on your bow, check your bow’s manual, or look it up online. If you happen to not have a limb sticker, be sure to fill in as much information as possible when checking out so that we can help you order the correct lengths.
Check our Compound Bow String Guide for more information about choosing the right string.
Can I add a fluorescent or lighter serving on top of a darker bow string material?
If you order a fluorescent or lighter serving over your darker string material, please be aware that the darker Sanlida Dragon X8 string material can bleed into the serving, distorting the serving color and becoming semi-translucent, in some cases.
Can 60X make the center serving match the end servings?
We do try to match your centers and end servings as best we can. However, the BCY Powergrip is only manufactured in these basic colors: Black, Blue, Flo Green, Tan, Flo Orange, Flo Pink, Red, and White.
If your preferred end serving color isn’t available in the Powergrip or Crossbow Serving, your center will, unfortunately, default to black. Important note: The color availability does vary based on the material.
How often should a bowstring be replaced?
In general, we recommend getting a Sanlida Dragon X8 string replacement at least every two years. However, you may need a replacement sooner if a bow string inspection shows that your string is broken or stretched, has significant fuzzing, or is making unusual sounds.
You may also need to replace your bow string if your bow’s performance is suffering.

How much does it usually cost to restring a bow?
On average, the cost to have a professional restring your bow ranges from anywhere from $50 to $200. High-performance bows with complex components may require more time compared to a basic bow, which can increase the cost.
The Sanlida Dragon X8 string and cables are unique because they can be replaced without the use of a bow press, unlike the majority of compound bows on the market. You may be able to handle the restringing process on your own, but it’s still best to bring it to a professional if you’re not confident in your ability to tune it properly.
