What material is BCY 452Xtra bowstring?
Like the original, widely popular BCY 452X bow string, BCY 452Xtra is made from 67% SK75 Dyneema and 33% Vectran. However, the newer 452Xtra BCY bowstring uses a new type of Vectran that’s more resistant to abrasion and less prone to fraying.
Is D97 a fast flight string?
BCY D97 is often referenced as a type of “fast flight” string, but it’s not the same as the original Fast Flight™ made by Brownell in the ‘90s. BCY Spectra 652 is the same as the original Fast Flight™.
Are there any BCY string materials that won’t creep at all?
According to BCY, 52Xtra, X99, and 450 Plus are 100% stable as long as you use the correct number of strands. This aligns with our experience using these BCY bowstring materials at 60X Custom Strings.
